We've all experienced some kind of body hatred in our lives. Most of mine was in my teens when my body was changing before I learned that it was changing into a beautiful thing.
I learned that my body is great just the way it is & funnily enough, as I gained that awareness, my body loved me right back & looked better & better. I spend much of my time butt naked on the yacht. A couple of weeks ago my partner was laughing because I had marks on my butt from where I had been sitting, so he took a photo of it to show me. I was blown away. For many years men have told me I have a great ass but I just thought that was men being men. I didn't fully believe them. Now I do. I like to push myself beyond my comfort zone. So now when another boat goes by & I'm butt naked, I don't run & hide anymore. I stand my ground, accept my body & my nakedness. When my partner & I go on island bush walks we often take all of our clothes off. We have always put them back on when other people have approached. My partner is *just like me* (oh the joy & the challenge!) & so we have decided that sometime soon we are going to go on a naked walk & remain naked as we walk past people to see both our response & their response. After all our bodies are natural. We all have a butt & here is mine.
