The law of attraction states that we attract what we think about.

It could be that simple if we were always aligned with what we are thinking about, however, we tend to think about things that we want to aspire to, things that we are not yet aligned with.


Hands up if you have been wishing for improvement, hoping for things to get better, wanting more money or experiences and you just keep experiencing more of the same?

Hands up if you have been setting specific goals for you to achieve by a set date only for that date to come and go without the achievement?


There is a time for being general and there is a time for being specific  about what you want and it's amazing how many people choose the wrong one at the wrong time.


Let me give you some examples:

Anne is in a 9-5 job that she doesn't like much, she doesn't hate it, but she'd rather be doing something she loved. She's not sure what she'd love to do, but she thinks there must be more to life than this office. She wants more freedom, and she knows to get more freedom she needs to replace the income that she receives from the job. Anne read a book called How to think and grow rich, she learned that she should set a specific goals, so she set one to leave her job by the end of the year, and to find a replacement income within 4 months that would be in place before she left her work. 4 months came and went, she was in exactly the same position as she was before. This is because Anne cannot feel good about those goals, she has nothing in place, no clue as to how she could achieve it, nothing specifically to do to achieve it, these goals would not feel good to her if she was honest about her feelings, these goals scare her and make her feel doubt. Anne would be much better off being general, hoping for things to get better, wishing for a solution to come, wanting to leave her job as soon as she can. These thoughts will feel good to her, and this means that she is aligned with these thoughts, the universe's wheels of manifestation started turning to deliver her wishes the moment she had those thoughts!

Ben has a small business. It's not doing as well as he had hoped it would yet. He thinks that business should be easier than this. He has been really busy putting things in place, making products, he's opened up many avenues for business to come to him, in fact he could quite easily be making $1000 a day or more just through the work that he has already done. He's always hoping for business growth, he's wanting to be earning more, he wishes for improvement. Yet Ben keeps experiencing more of the same. Why? Because Ben is being general when he should be specific. The universe is delivering vague results because he is being vague. Ben should make some specific goals, such as making $1000 a day within 3 months time, to triple his customer base within a month, to make $100,000 by the end of the year. All of these goals will feel good to Ben, because he can already see a way that it can happen, he's done the work, he has things in place, the universe can get going on delivering his specific wishes quickly, only requiring him put little things in place so that it can be delivered to him.


You choose your thoughts, not your feelings. Your feelings are your inner guidance system saying whether your thoughts are aligned with you. If you feel good about something (BE HONEST!) then you are on your way to it, if you don't feel good about something then you will not get there because it's too far off where you are right now.

Contrary to what you might have been led to believe: you cannot force your feelings. You cannot have a thought about something that you want, and trick yourself into feeling good about it. That is called IGNORING your real feelings, IGNORING your guidance system and that is not advisable, it will lead you into trouble.


Tune into your guidance system and use it, feel your feelings and if something doesn't feel good, back up a little, make a smaller goal and see if that feels good, if not, back up some more, be more general.


Remember, you can have whatever you want, but first you must be aligned with it, which is a gradual process, it's never a huge leap, it has never been a huge leap for anybody, ever.

8 years ago I had an old Kombi that had so much rust it was a surprise that my children didn’t fall through the floor on the school drop. The rego was coming up and I knew that it would not pass. This Kombi was ready for Kombi heaven – a place in the hinterland where a local Kombi lover pulls them apart to repair those in better condition.

I was a self-employed single parent of 3 children between ages 4 and 12 at the time. I had a small income and plenty of money drains as I juggled being there for my kids and bringing in as much money as I could.

A new car just didn’t figure in to my budget – yet I needed one. I believed that all of my needs were always met and that I didn’t need to know how, it would just happen, because it always did. (I’ve now changed this belief to include that all of my desires are also always met – it’s much more fun!)

So I went ahead anyway. I asked a friend who worked in a local servo to look out for a car that would be suitable for me and I called local Kombi lover to come take away our dying friend, selling it to him for $50 (I was lucky to get that!).

A few days later, my friend called me. He told me he had found a great little car that would be perfect for me and that it was $2000. I told him that my Kombi’s funeral was in 2 days time and so I would take the car. Again, I went ahead, trusting that the Universe would cover it somehow, a whiff of puzzlement came
over me “Where’s my $2000 Universe?” but deep down I had faith.

The next day my expected miracle came. $2000 was deposited directly into my bank account. I went straight to the bank, withdrew it and gave it to my friend for the new car.

Kombi pick-up day arrived and it coincided nicely with the day that my new car was arriving. Seamless car ownership. Thank you Universe.

Something else happened that day. I got a call from my bank. They said that they had received a call from another bank who had accidentally deposited $2000 into my account. My bank told them that they would contact me and ask nicely if I would return it – because as it was their mistake, but I was under no obligation to return it to them. So I politely declined the offer.

Later that day I bumped into some friends of mine, one of which was a retired bank manager. I relayed my magical story to them. He told me that when banks make mistakes like this they write off any amount of $2000 or less – it’s not worth them to pursue it.

The Universe had found the easiest way to give me the maximum amount that it possibly could by the method that it used and delivered the exact amount that I’d asked for on the exact day that I needed it.

Was it a miracle? Hardly! It’s manifestation.

I asked. I trusted. I went ahead like it had already happened. It was delivered.
